Revelation SkyCeilings

Revelation, our first architecturally sculpted SkyCeiling system, features assorted rectilinear sizes (up to 4’x’8′) which deliver up to 8 times the image surface of our Classic SkyTiles. Revelation Luminous SkyCeiling’s elegant self-supporting skylight framework provides the most engaging sky illusion for higher ceilings.

Central, windowless spaces are the perfect area to incorporate a visual connection to nature. Sky Factory virtual skylights are extremely useful in deep plan buildings where a perceived connection to nature is most welcome.

Patented Architectural Reveals

Revelation’s 2.75” (7cm) SkyTile™ elevators raise the image panels above the ceiling plane, sculpting the illusion of depth.

Proprietary Open Sky Photography

By setting up gravitationally correct sky photography (perpendicular to the ground), our photographers capture the zenith and generate the most credible overhead sky illusion.

Self-Supporting Framework

Revelation SkyCeiling’s robust virtual skylight framework supports the perceived overhead opening, liberating it from the grid while adding a visually attractive architectural feature.

Calibrated LED Lighting System

We manufacture all LEDs for superior performance and Correlated Color Temperature (CCT), 6500K. MRI Safe lighting option available.

Available in Ten SkyTile™ Sizes

Revelation SkyTiles are available in 10 rectilinear sizes ranging from 2’x’4 (60cm x 60cm) to 4′ x 8′ (120cm x 240cm), plus custom sizes.

How Revelation SkyCeilings work

1. LED Lighting Systems

The standard EcoPlus LED and low profile EcoSlim LED lighting systems provide outstanding daylight quality light (6500K). EcoPlus requires 8.75″ (22.2. cm) of vertical clearance, and EcoSlim requires 6.25″ (15.9 cm). IRIS-capable Revelation SkyCeilings use a custom EcoPlus LED lighting array. At this time, IRIS Lighting is not MRI compatible.

2. SkyTiles (image panels)

Non-glare, lightweight polycarbonate image panels featuring a high-resolution, proprietary digital image color-calibrated for optimal daylight illumination.

3. Ceiling Grid or Hard Ceiling

Client-provided standard or custom ceiling grid around the installation or a hard ceiling soffit opening.

4. Architectural Reveal

Patented Revelation SkyTile elevators are angled, moisture-resistant aluminum reveals that recess the image panels above the grid thereby boosting the illusion of a real skylight framework overhead.
