Elegant Trim Profile

Luminous Virtual Windows feature a slim profile (2 3/8″[60mm]) that allows for surface mounting or recessed flush installation. They are available in standard sizes, from 22″x40″ [55cm x 100cm] to 48″x72″ [120cm x 180cm], plus custom dimensions. Trim styles available in various woods and brushed aluminum for a genuine window view.

When installed as an ensemble, realistic digital Windows create realistic vistas that transform interiors with an illusory, yet palpable natural landscape.

A horizontal clerestory Luminous Virtual Window on top of the arrangement often cinches the view. By creating gaps in one continuous photographic scene, our perception automatically fills in the unseen spaces, bringing the illusory panorama in the mind’s eye and creating a distinct sense of distance beyond the window.

How Luminous Virtual Windows Work

1. Window Trim

Trim frames come in several styles and woods, along with a contemporary aluminum option. The trim is easily removed for access to the image and lighting.

2. Image and Diffusion Panel

The high-resolution photographic image is printed onto a sheet of translucent media with pigment inks for superior color and durability. The image is then mounted onto a 1/8″ (3mm) acrylic diffusion panel.

3. Edge Lighting

Sky Factory’s EcoSlim LED edge-lighting allows for the shallow depth of the unit while maintaining perfectly even illumination of the image.

4. Slim Case

The aluminum housing is approximately 2 3/8″ (60mm) deep.

Wall Opening

Luminous Virtual Windows can be mounted directly on the wall, but are most often set recessed into a rough opening that allows for the trim to sit flush against the wall.
